Beverley Tomlinson is a dedicated Elder and Pastor at the Brixton branch of New Life Assembly Church in London. Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, she moved to England at the age of nine and has since devoted her life to inspiring and supporting individuals through her work as a counsellor, motivational speaker, and advocate for personal growth—particularly in overcoming rejection.
A passionate global traveller, Beverley engages in projects that drive meaningful change within communities. Her commitment to service has led her to participate in initiatives such as building a church in the Philippines and establishing a Children's Home in Guyana. Prior to working in childcare, she served as a civil servant and has since become a foster carer, providing both long-term and respite care for children in need.
Beverley is also the founder of GemUnique, a multifaceted enterprise offering professional counselling services both online and in-person. In addition to counselling, GemUnique celebrates individuality through handcrafted jewellery made from genuine gemstones and artisanal cakes, reinforcing the message that, like each person, no two pieces are alike. The brand also hosts workshops to highlight the beauty of uniqueness.
Her passion for empowerment extends to events such as "She INSPIRES" and the "Mother and Daughter Ball," which bring together women from diverse backgrounds to share their stories, insights, and expertise. Through these initiatives, Beverley strives to uplift and equip individuals with the confidence to recognise their worth and achieve their full potential, regardless of their circumstances.
In addition, she shares "Inspirational Gems"—weekly posts featuring scriptures and positive affirmations—to encourage and uplift her community. She also hosts New Life Assembly Brixton Coffee Mornings, fostering fellowship and meaningful conversations.
Beverley Tomlinson remains steadfast in her mission to inspire, support, and create lasting impact—one person, one community, and one life at a time.
